The Electric Eel Digital Condom

Apparently you can put a lilypad in a sock with some conductive fabric and call it a condom and indiegogo is good with that.

I cannot imagine the washing instructions on this.

While the idea to add feeling to condoms via technology is interesting, I think we're looking at a verrrrrry long tail between conductive fabric arduino cocksock and super thin latex that you can also somehow put a power source near. But you gotta start somewhere I guess.

Preferably with someone else's sock.

And cock.

And money.

Image documentation of the project is available on the project flickr set.

The creators of this project are interested in building a DIY community about sex toys and technology. It's good to see more people adding to the DIY side of the sex tech scene and trying to build community, so more power to them there.

Sex Toys with Googly Eyes.

Yup.

Vibease Sends Your Moans to the Cloud to Control Your Vibrator

In yet another savvy "capture the media of the moment" move, Vibease has released a demo video of their new "Him" app via their twitter account. An obvious nod to the AI entity in the movie "Her" (which I should really get around to seeing at some point), it acts as a virtual boyfriend that, well, uh, watch the video.

Using the "Google Now" interface built into the Android OS (Jelly Bean or later), you can talk to the app to control your vibrator, instead of just using a waveform or button interface. Not only will it respond to natural language commands, it seems to also respond to moans.

Of course, this means you're sending your moans to Google. Not only that, it means that Google already has the ability to process your moans.

Yup.

This is yet another interesting idea from Vibease, who earlier pivoted away from a pure teledildonics approach to work on an interface and store for erotic fiction with vibration synchronization.

According to Dema Tio, the CEO of Vibease, while the company is currently concentrating on manufacturing their toys, the app could possibly be released this Spring, sooner if there's call for it.

Vibratissimo Teledildonics blah blah WHO CARES HOW ITS MADE VIDEO YAY

I was already to do my usual snarkfest Vibratissimo for calling themselves 'first vibrator with an app', naming their toys "King", "Bruce", "Lee", and "Blade", marketing them similar to Bad Dragon's "bigger is inherently better" branding...

Then I looked them up on youtube and found out THEY POSTED A "HOW IT'S DONE" STYLE PRODUCTION LINE VIDEO COMPLETE WITH SILLY MUSIC AND OH MY GOD I AM SO HAPPY.

If they just added in a canadian voice over that makes bad dildo puns I'd just go right the fuck ahead and vote this toy of the year, even if it innovates in exactly no ways whatsoever.

Can you just imagine what these job titles look like on a resume?

Anyways, I don't actually have the toy, but there's more talk about their Android app interface below.

Ravijour Love Tester Bra

So there's interesting ways to do electronic enabled underwear, and then there's this.

Both were ad campaigns, and by youtube hits, both were successful. I still think Durex has an actually interesting idea. Ravijour, well, uh. Yeah. I'm not real sure who they're selling to with this one.

No word on whether the squirt watch algorithm works as a side channel attack for the pulse detection system in the bra, but expect a paper at blackhat next year.

Men's underwear that comes off via quickened pulse rate due to excitement and "love" have been on the market for a while now under the name "Any underwear ever." (Yes I am going to reuse this joke into the fucking ground.)

via Tokyo Kinky but I'm like a week late to this so it's been covered by every decent sized media outlet anyways because that's where we are with news like this, yup. Ad campaign successful.
